The 1963 catalog is used for the cover, and it is printed on quality paper with over 300 pages in full color. The catalogues produced from 1961 through 1969 are unlike those from earlier years. Lavish artistic illustrations, the hallmark of Lionel catalogues since the 1920's, diminished as the decade progressed, and they were gradually replaced by product photographs in the late 1960's. Still, 1960- 1963 are great artworked catalogs! This book is a must for the Lionel enthusiast. |
