| The Silver Rocket alco PA units were manufactured from 1953 until 1955. The locos came in a green/silver/yellow color combination. The power unit housed double motors and reverse unit. The dummy A unit housed the whistle mechanism. Both units came equipped with remote knuckle couplers and haedlight. There were two variations. In 1953 the locos were chrome plated, and in 1954 and 1955 the units came in painted satin silver. Otherwise, they are identical and trade at about the same price. |
