This is an artists proof of the Erie Railroad by famed artist Deb Hoffman (Newsweek and NY Times have featured her works). Painted exclusively in 1988 for the United Railroad Historical Society of New Jersey. This painting is entitled "The Erie Limited at Collin's Curve (Waldwick, New Jersey)". It features Erie E-8 AB diesels pulling passenger cars through this famous four track corridor in northern New Jersey (only two track today). Printed on heavy, acid free paper. Measures 26 inches by 21 inches with border, or 21 inches x 16 inches picture only. These were originally sold as a fundraiser for the Erie RR Society at a cost of $200 each. A great piece for the train room or Erie lover. It will be rolled up and shipped in a tube. 2000 of these prints were commissioned - with the first 300 signed by the artist. This copy is not signed. There is a band along the bottom of the piece about three quarters of an inch in width which has faded due to poor storage. There is also a crease on the rear of the piece and on the bottom right hand corner as shown. |
