| A must for the Lionel paper collector. Rare original New York City Madison Hardware store version with information stamp. Original old new stock purchased from Madison Hardware. Also a very tough catalog to find in mint condition. This was the last great artwork postwar catalog. 56 page paper pulp catalog, with O & O-27 gauge trains, HO trains, and HO & O gauge race car sets. 1963 had some great sets, and a few new items. The only new engine was the 617 NW2 switcher. Some of the more important items that made their debut in 63 were the 6407 flat w/rocket, 6469 liquefiedg as car, 6446 N&W cement car, 6446-60 red Lehigh Valley covered hopper, 6447 PRR N5C caboose, and the 6429 DL&W work caboose. Great sets included; GG-1 13138, 736 frt.13118, 2383 F-3 military frt.set, and more. This is really the last great postwar catalog(killer cover with the race car and s team engine). Also the last artwork catalog, big c hanges would come in 1964(mostly in size, this was the last big postwar version). |
