30 WATER TOWER GRAY ROOF BROWN STRUCTURE
| Did you know that the newer steam engines running at high speeds needed to add water every 30 to 50 miles? After leaving Hoboken with a full tank of water, the Lackawanna added water at Dover and Stroutsburg, PA on their mainline passenger trains on the 129 miles between Hoboken and Scranton, and of course in Scranton before they continued west to Buffalo! Graded Excellent (C7) because the red roof washers are missing and the spout clip is broken. This is the last version with the number "30" elimated from the raised metal plaque on the grey base. Original box is complete with liner. Also comes with instruction sheet. DNS. |
