Unlike other log dumping cars, this one has a highly sophisticated ratcheting motor system which allows the gradual raising of the log dumping rack. Push the control button seven times to raise the rack to full height which then lets the logs roll off the car. The next push lowers the rack to the original flat position. Built with Lionel's never again duplicated high Post-War quality! Has a metal base, unpainted body with rubber-stamped lettering, bar-end diecast metal trucks with magnetic couplers, and a metal brake wheel. Numbered "336155". Originally came with five stained logs. This is the Grandaddy of all your modern era log dump cars! Built from 1955 until 1959. |
