| The Erie RR first built "bay window" cabooses, and Lionel rushed one to market. This model was authentic, full scale and looked great with any engine. It included a brand new authetic all-metal caboose truck. Built from 1955 until 1959. Red painted body with white, rubber-stamped lettering. Lighted, but bay window area is dark so people can see out at night. This is the early production model, so identified because the "BLT 12-55" and "Lionel" on right side are underscored. Later models did not have underscoring - we list them under a different number - PW-6517. |
